towing.....
right randomly i was asked by two peolpe about towing. seems they are un aware that it could of got them into trouble if they went ahead with there plan.
so to help any one else out on the subject its all here please read if your unsure

What was the "question" as towing is a grey issue.
if someone had broken down and you or they had a proper tow rope you could tow them to a "safe" place even if you didnt have the +E on your DL

one was picking up a car and towing it back (fairly long distance) the other was towing a trailer (with a car on) but both drivers only past a few years.

reading that they can do that aslong as the car been towed or trailered does not exceed the weight of the car towing ang as long as the combined weight does not exceed 3tons as i have got b and b1 on my license and thats wot i can tow

pretty much what mr bunny said,
if its "normal" as not in emergancy towing then as long as the MAM which is explained in Keiths link
if you need to tow for a short distance and its urgent as long as does not require a c or d class you should be find if you can explain it to the officer
